THE MAKING
Rajalakshmi Genguswamy Matriculation Hr. Sec. School with a total land area of 3.5 Acres was incepted on 9th June 1985 with a strength of 324 children with classes from Junior KG to VIII. The School secretary is Mrs. Nandhini Raveendran. She believes that success can only be achieved through proper coordination among the faculty, the students and the Parents. The School has successfully completed its 25th year of existence comprising, a promising school strength of 2700 pupils. We take pride in the fact that RGM School is the first Matriculation School in the town
This is also the first school in Udumalpet to be accredited the prestigious ISO 9001: 2008 certification. We are pioneers in Tirupur and Coimbatore Educational Districts in being re-accredited with the new ISO standards 9001:2008. The Ecofriendly ambience and well ventilated airy furnished classrooms facilitates stress free and effective learning .The School has separate hostels for boys and girls, that are clean airy well furnished and homely vegetarian food is also provided. As one, who still believes and trusts in the all round development of children, here we provide the best forum for Duty, Discipline and Dignity. To discover the varied cultural heritage of our country, study tours and trekking to places of interest are organized by the school.

SCOUT – JAMBOREE
Our School has Ham Radio Club station VU2 VAK . So we conduct JAMBOREE for the scouts students in around Udumalpet. The Students have been taught about the importance and usage of Ham Radio throughout the world
We have one of the Best NCC units that cater to the needs of the time with a track record of more than 25 years of service. This ensures inculcation of the right values in the growing child.
Students enthusiastically participate in Scout camps .Scout unit has been operating in our school for more than 18 years.
The various games prevalent in the school are Table Tennis, Carrom, Badminton and Chess as Indoor games, and Cricket , Footballl , Volleball , KHo Kho, Throw ball . Hockey , Tenicoit, etc., as out door games.
For team sports like Badminton, Cricket, Football, Table Tennis etc., the school is conducting special coaching in the evenings.
ACHIEVEMENT
RGM U 19 Boys team won the Tirupur district RDS BDS sports tournament and have qualified to represent Tirupur district in State Level. – 2023 OCTOBER
BAND- The School has a full-fledged band troop (Brass & Pipes) which has been performing since its formation 15 years ago.

Our School Students are involved in Ham Radio Club and this Program is wireless technology literacy, for teachers and students.

Amateur Radio experiences are a motivating influence for many careers in computer sciences, consumer electronics, broadcast engineering, research sciences, medicine and telecommunications.
